Terms of use

1. The service

Estate Reporter is a tool for reporting and tracking maintenance issues on managed UK housing estates. It is provided as a web app (and an Android app when that build is published). It needs a working internet connection.

2. Accounts

You must keep your login details safe. Residents join an estate with a shared link and are approved by that estate’s admin or by the management company. Do not share join links in public places if you do not want strangers requesting access.

3. Acceptable use

Use the app only for estate issues, maintenance, and inspections you are entitled to record. Do not upload other people’s photos without a reason connected to the estate. Do not try to read another estate’s data. Do not use the service to harass anyone.

4. Content you add

You are responsible for the descriptions and photos you attach. Staff may change issue status. Submitted work logs and site inspections are kept as an audit trail and are not deleted in the product.

5. Management companies

If you create a company account, you confirm you are allowed to manage the estates you add. You are responsible for how your staff use the tool and for any activation codes issued to those estates.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service up, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Map tiles come from a third party (MapTiler, or OpenStreetMap in development only).

7. Liability

The app is a record-keeping and coordination tool. It does not replace site inspections by a competent person, health-and-safety duties, or your own complaints procedure. Draft wording only — a solicitor should set the liability cap before launch.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Contact: .
